At just 20 years old, Nick Castellanos has already made a splash in his professional career. Standing six foot four and 210, the Tigers prospect has made Tigers fans look into him after appearing as one of the stars in the Futures Game in Kansas City during the All Star Break this year. His home run in the game was rewarded with the 2012 Futures Game MVP Award. Between two minor league teams in the 2012 season, Castellanos hit .320 with 32 doubles, four triples, seven homers, and 54 RBIs. It isn’t that the outfielder is speedy, powerful or anything but an all around good hitter. If he could increase his power a little bit then the Tigers would bring him up to the big leagues as soon as he can hit major league type pitches. Castellanos is now playing the Arizona Fall League and in just two games has already accumulated four hits, one RBI and a stolen base. With a few more improvements in his game, this is a player who will be a potential Mike Trout in his rookie season. MLB.com estimated that he would be called up in 2014. This is one of a multiple players on the 2012 Bowman Chrome list that will have a very high sell value based on their 2012 performance. (credit: bigbaseballboy)
